Makin' moves.

Lots of changes have been happening since I last posted. A shop in our hometown started calling Chuckie a month or so ago asking him to come work for them, they had been trying to work together for years but the timing never worked. At first I was all absolutely not, no way in hell, I'd rather die than move back to Virginia, but when we came up to talk out all the details I realized that it really was the best decision for us (AKA decent money amirite?). Atlanta was growing on me but both of us being unemployed for 6+ months destroyed my savings into the saddest little number I haven't seen since I was 14 and I didn't feel like our luck would ever change there.
SO we decided we would move back by the end of May, say our goodbyes and explore Atlanta as much as we could in the last month. While we were up talking out the details they were all 'lol we changed our minds we really need you here in TWO DAYS.' Yeah, seriously. Coincidentally, one of Monique's many admirers works for a moving company and just happened to be going to Atlanta that very weekend, so things worked out perfectly. I found an adorable condo for us to live six streets down from my sister that also happened to be on HGTV (did the universe know I've been watching it all day everyday for the last five months?) There is no one above us or on one side of us, we have an entire field as our front yard, an awesome trail in the woods right next to us, pool, etc IT IS FABULOUS.

Me, Monique and Malakai took a few days to drive back so we could stop in Asheville and Charlotte. We had amazing readings and food in Asheville and it was just another reminder that it is absolutely the right place for us when we leave here (hopefully in one year, at the absolute most maybe two).

We've been here less than a week but I'm still pretty happy with our decision. I've been spending a ton of time with my bff, my sisters, and my nieces/nephew. I get to be irl friends with Heather, a fabulous lady who I never got the chance to form a solid relationship with while I still lived here (our blogs brought us together ;)). Monique and I even worked out TWICE, and that is more than I've done in the last five years. So far so good, but I'm sure I'll be kicking and screaming about it in a few months. That's just my nature.

THINGS.

Today I want to talk about awesome things.

Tanie, one of my favorite ladies I've met through the internet made me the BEST banner in the entire world.
Tanie's photo, I'll take one when my room doesn't look like butt

LOOK AT IT. It's OMBRE GLITTER.  It is the greatest thing in my bedroom right now.  Instead of being an asshole like half the people on etsy, she keeps the cost super low and makes them incredibly fast.  I'm obsessed.  I want my entire house to be filled with banners and bunting and I want her to be my bff/mom/craft partner.

The Keurig single cup coffee maker.  Chuckie got it for Christmas and I. Love. It.  I don't even drink that much coffee but I insist on making it constantly because I'm amazed by it. It's so fast, it's so delicious.  Right now I'm drinking tea because I didn't have to heat up water for five minutes and steep tea.  It's just ready instantly.  The cups are expensive but I plan on buying every kind of coffee and tea and hot chocolate ever.

Due to my extremely busy life lately, I've been doing a lot of daydreaming.  I've sort of decided we should settle in Asheville (although it would probably be a good idea to actually go there before I decide my life) so I've been looking at houses online constantly.  Asheville happens to have a ton of my favorite style houses (cottages & bungalows) so I'm like a twelve year old boy looking at porn all day.  That leads me into my daydreams of owning my own business so I don't ever have to have a boss EVER AGAIN.  I think about the set up and all the cool classes I can take and all the weird hippies I'll meet.  If I want to go on vacation for a week I CAN BECAUSE I'M MY OWN BOSS.  If it snows and I'm scared to drive GUESS WHAT? I CAN CLOSE.  It sounds like heaven tbh.  Hopefully we can get this plan in motion soon (and hopefully it'll start out with a visit to the city in the next month or so).

Crafts!!

I've been feeling super crafty lately!  I came across an adorable photo with fabric covered letters reading "Save The Date" and decided it would be perfect for my own.  After some research, I found the letters at Anthropologie... let's not even discuss the price for one letter.  So I decided to order my own wood letters, pick up some discount fabric and do it myself!
It was a bit more time consuming than I thought it would be, but that's probably my own lack of skill when it comes to doing anything crafty.  The final results -

One backwards T and my uncertainty about the fabric on the last two E's, but I'm still pretty satisfied.
I also decided I need to show off all the cute hankies I've been getting recently and this is what I ended up with -
